About Cisne, IL - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!
Cisne is a Wayne County, Illinois village with about 700 residents. This community was named for Levi Cisne in 1870, and its most notable resident was MLB pitcher Bill Trotter. Cisne is located near other small communities of Jefferson, Fairfield, and Flora, but major metro areas are also in the region. St. Louis, MO is only about 100 miles to the west, while Terre Haute, IN is about the same distance to the northeast of Cisne.
As a tiny community, there aren’t any major attractions located in Cisne. Residents who are looking for a good meal on a night out might like to check out Boondocks Café or Pizza B’s, while other options like Los Tres Caminos and Fuego Mexican Restaurant are located in nearby Flora. Flora is also a good place for antique collectors, as Uncle Sam’s Cooperhead Antiques and Antiques & Collectables can be found there. Specialty shops in Cisne are limited, although The Village Florist is a great place to get flowers or other gifts for a special occasion.
The Cisne area is found between humid subtropical and humid continental climate zones. The community is known for its hot, humid summer months, and average high temperatures in July reach the upper 80s. Many days see thermostat readings in excess of 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so most residents invest in efficient and reliable central air conditioners. Not only do these systems keep home interiors comfortable, but they can also improve the quality of air indoors.
The weather tends to cool down quickly in the fall, and by the winter months, conditions are cold with variable snowfall. HVAC repair professionals recommend seasonal maintenance of home furnace systems, especially since overnight lows only reach the 20s – or even lower. These frigid conditions can be extremely dangerous if the right climate control systems aren’t in place.
